Töötukassa can help you to find a new job.
We provide for the necessary financial backing that helps you to cover living expenses and allows you to concentrate on seeking new employment. For information on the benefits you can apply for, please visit the financial benefits page.
We also offer you a wide range of labour market services, from information on vacancies to trainings and individualised help, advice on other ways to become or remain professionally active, and extra help should you be disabled, without working experience, or less qualified. Our commitment is to offer you job mediation services that best fit your individual needs.
Our services are for free, but require a clear commitment from your side. Financial benefits and labour market services are only provided in order for you to find new work. We expect that you help us to be as efficient as possible, by participating in the services we offer to you, by actively searching for a job, and by accepting the employment we find for you.
The legal basis for the labour market services offered is the Labour Market Services and Benefits Act of 28 September 2005. This Act describes the various measures available, and what the conditions are to benefit from the services. Some services are offered in addition to what the law foresees. These additional services are described in multi-year programmes, and funded through European Structural Funds.
Benefits such as the unemployment benefit, the redundancy benefit and the benefit in case of insolvency of an employer, are enacted in the Unemployment Insurance Act of 13 June 2001.
