The aim of the mobility support is to facilitate people in taking up a job away from home.
Mobility support is paid to a client registered as unemployed who corresponds to the target group specified in ‘Conditions for using the support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund’ (people who have lost their job in the tourism sector in the period from 13 March 2020 to 11 November 2020, please contact your Unemployment Insurance Fund counsellor for more information on the target group). The support is paid if the person takes up employment under an employment contract or a civil service post (permanent or temporary with a term of at least 6 months) at a distance of at least 20 km from their actual place of residence.
The mobility allowance is calculated at EUR 0.10 per kilometre and paid up to a maximum of EUR 300 per calendar month (income tax is withheld).
The mobility support is paid during the first four working months as of the commencement of work or public service. In the case of an employment or service relationship entered into for a specified term, the support is paid for half of the duration of the employment or service relationship, but for no more than four months as of the commencement of work or service.
For more information on the conditions and how to apply for mobility support, contact your Unemployment Insurance Fund counsellor.
Mobility support is co-financed on the basis of the 12 December 2020 Directive No. 119 of the Minister of Social Affairs, ‘Conditions for using the support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund’.
