If the employee has difficulties accessing their workspaces or using the work equipment provided, we will help adjust the workplace and work equipment in a way that makes them accessible and usable.
Home workspaces can also be adjusted.
Applications for the compensation of the cost of adjusting workspaces and work equipment are submitted to the Unemployment Insurance Fund by the employer. The Unemployment Insurance Fund will determine the appropriate solution for you.
Depending on the case and the reasonable cost of the adjustment, up to 100% of the adjustment costs may be compensated. Adjustment costs will be compensated if the employment relationship with the employee has been entered into for an unspecified term or for a fixed-term of at least two years. You can apply for the compensation once per employee in a three-year period.
To find out about the possibilities of adjusting workspaces, contact an appropriate Unemployment Insurance Fund office and make an appointment with a case manager. Contact details can be found here: Contact details of Unemployment Insurance Fund offices
